Insurance companies become Big Brother

Bit by bit the insurance companies are becoming Big Brother . . . . and we know
the insurance industry has bought and paid for all the legislators they need.

Big Brother Insurance
George Orwell may have been wrong.  The State may not control everything.  Maybe it will be the Corporations that will own and control the State.
  • Insurance giants want to "monitor" your driving habits (for your own protection)
  • Insurance giants are installing GPS recording devises to watch where you go 24 hours a day.
  • Insurance giants effectively act as agents of the police by turning over your records on request.

By Gary;

The insurance giant Progressive Corp. is offering customers the chance to save as much as 30%.

But there is a catch.

Customers would have to install a device in your car so Progressive could monitor your driving habits, such as when you drove, miles driven and number of sudden stops.  Progressive would analyze the data to determine whether he deserved a discount, reports the Chicago Tribune.

When you obey the rules of your Corporate Master and be a "good boy" then, and only then, will your Master give you a discount.  Keep in mind that the government FORCES you to buy auto insurance and the politicians who force you to buy that insurance are in turn bought and paid for by the insurance companies.

Progressive was one of the first insurers to venture into what people in the industry call "usage-based" or "pay-as-you-drive" insurance. State Farm and Allstate Corp. have similar programs. Evaluating driving data is considered a more precise way to gauge risk, compared with traditional pricing methods that factor in things such as age, gender and marital status.

Insurers also predict that in-car monitoring will encourage safer driving or, at a minimum, reduced driving,

So far the programs are voluntary.  So far.

Consumer and privacy advocates are concerned that insurance companies are becoming "Big Brother."  State Farm is stretching privacy boundaries further by including a GPS in its recording device to track a vehicle's location.

The insurance company, for your own good you know, will track your movements 24 hours a day.
  • No matter where you go.
  • No matter what you do.
  • No matter who you visit
  • Big Brother will be watching you.
And as we all know, the police can easily obtain whatever documents they want from any company.  So the insurance companies will effectively be acting as agents for the Big Brother State.

Insurance companies will effectively be acting as Agents for the Government.
Or will the Government be acting as Agents for the Insurance Giants?

Do our elected officials work for the people?  or are they just puppets working for their Corporate and Labor Union Masters who fund their campaigns?
