Socialists are running scared on immigration issue

Bullshit Alert
  • British polls show the anti-immigration UKIP surging to 29% to Labour's 30% in the upcoming May elections for the European Parliament.
  • Labour political hacks are scrambling to pretend that they care about endless immigration taking jobs from British citizens.  Pure 100% Bullshit.

With the May 22nd elections for the  European Parliament only weeks away Yvette Cooper, Labour Party shadow home secretary, suddenly decides to warn that Britain risks becoming "dependent" on cheap labour.

TRANSLATION  -  Labour is going to get its ass kicked as their voters defect to the anti-immigration / anti-EU UKIP party.  So the leftist Labour Party leadership decides that they really, really care about immigrants taking the jobs of British citizens and driving down wages.

A Labour Party government would create laws to stop bosses using migrants to under-cut the wages of British workers, and the “serious exploitation” of migrants by businesses would be made a criminal offence, she will said.

Cooper also attacked the Conservative Party Government for having a “worst of all worlds” stance, in which illegal immigration is getting worse while businesses are unable to find people with the skills they need reports the UK Telegraph.

Last month, James Brokenshire, the immigration minister, accused better-off families and big businesses of helping to support mass immigration by demanding cheap labour and services. Miss Cooper said: “This kind of exploitation should be illegal. But the law isn’t working. We need change.

“The truth is that, for too long, exploitation in the labour market – a cause and effect of low-skilled immigration and illegal immigration – has gone unchecked.

“But we want to go further. We want clearer, stronger laws so businesses know where they stand and responsible employers know they won’t be undercut, but so that it is clear that employers who use pressure or force to exploit people and get round employment law are committing a crime.” Her words come as Labour announce a nationwide consultation with businesses, trade unions, communities and workers into the laws around exploitation and undercutting of wages.

Cooper used her speech at the Local Government Association in Westminster to commit to proper exit checks as part of UK border policy as well as fingerprinting illegal immigrants caught at the border.

The shadow home secretary admitted that the last Labour government “got things wrong on immigration”.

UKIP Forces Immigration Debate
Polls have the anti-immigration UKIP surging to 29%, Labour at 30%, Conservatives at only 21% and Liberal Democrats at 11%.

By the EU using the proportional representation system your vote actually matters unlike in the United States.  In proportional representation's most basic form, if your party gets 30% of the vote then your party gets 30% of the legislative seats.  The vote of the people really matters when you don't have gerrymandering.
