Obama Appoints a Murderer as Judge

Our Caesar Votes for Death
Obama pays off his boot-licker lackey with
a lifetime appointment as judge.

Yes, now we have a murderer as a Federal judge. . . or at lease a new judge who aided and abetted in the murder of American citizens.  A servile toady who wrote a rubber stamp "legal" opinion giving Caesar Obama the right to assassinate Americans without a trial in direct violation of the 5th Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

The Democrat Senate voted 53-45 Thursday, along party lines, to confirm David Barron, who was nominated to a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

As an official in Caesar Obama's Office of Legal Counsel, Barron authored secret legal memos justifying the murder of Anwar al-Awlaki, an American killed in a 2011 drone strike in Yemen.

Yemen.  The United State is not at war with Yemen.  Nor is it a battlefield for American troops.

Rand Paul:  ""I've seen the documents and Barron creates out of whole cloth a defense for executing American citizens without trial.  Any nominee who rubber stamps and grants such power to a president is not worthy of being placed one step away from the Supreme Court.  These memos don't limit drone executions to one individual. They set historic precedent for killing citizens abroad."

Said Paul, ". . . no court has ever reviewed whether an American citizen can be killed without legal representation or a trial. That is precisely why I cannot support placing professor Barron on the appellate court.  I would much rather appoint a lifetime federal judge with heroic qualities, one who had the courage to tell the president that there is no legal precedent or constitutional authority for killing an American citizen not engaged in combat and that the Supreme Court should decide the question in open court."

Paul continued, "America is not a nation that tolerates secret law. Secret and classified law that may lead to a death warrant from the president of the United States is obnoxious to freedom.  The Bill of Rights protects the right to a trial by jury and due process that a president cannot ignore."  (Boston Herald)

The American Civil Liberties Union sent a letter weeks ago urging senators not to vote on Barron’s nomination until the White House shared the secret memos authored by Barron.  the ACLU tried to persuade senators to delay the vote, arguing that the White House may have been withholding targeted killing memos authored by Barron.

Bottom Line  -  Our Caesar was fully backed by his Democrat Senate in ripping up the rule of law and the Bill of Rights with secret opinions and assassinations.
