Mass Beheadings in Iraq - Remember to thank Bush & Obama

"Miss Me Yet?"
  • An anti-Iran, socialist and pro-Russian Saddam Hussein filled mass graves in Iraq with Islamist nutcase killers.  Then Bush, in his infinite "wisdom", invaded Iraq and turned loose a terrorist nightmare.
  • Now al-Qaeda forces have seized Mosul (population 1.8 million) and Tikrit.  This time it really is Bush's fault.
  • Not to be outdone, Comrade Obama has been running guns through the CIA to Islamist terrorists looking to undermine the pro-Russian Syrian government.  Now the well armed Syrian al-Qaeda are flooding into Iraq.

By Gary;

Mass beheadings are reported in northern Iraq as al-Qaeda forces take Mosul and Tikrit, Saddam Hussein's home town.

I hate to say I told you so . . . stop, that is a lie.  I love saying I told you so.

This massive clusterfuck in Iraq is totally the fault of George W, Bush.  Period.  If we had never invaded none of this insanity in Iraq would be happening today.

The Middle East was fairly stable under the rule of the Socialist Arab Ba'ath Party in both Syria and Iraq.  Both nations were allies of Socialist Russia.

Under the Ba'ath Party Christians were a protected minority and women had the right to a non-burqa education and lifestyle.

Saddam Hussein was anti-Iran and his Iraq had the largest military in the Middle East.  They were a powerful counterweight to the insane Iranians.  Sure Hussein was a thug.  Big fucking deal.  Thuggery is standard in Middle Eastern politics for the last 5,000 years.

An Act of Insanity

Bush's war to crush Iraq was an act of geopolitical insanity.

Saddam Hussein ruled with an iron hand.  With Hussein gone no meaningful centralized authority existed and the country exploded with terrorism and Islamism.  A clueless Bush also disbanded the huge Iraqi army leaving Iran a free hand in the region.

You reap what you sow and Bush planted the seeds of Islamist anarchy.

Comrade Obama Joins The Fun

Though we should never have gone into Iraq in the first place, Obama ran from the country leaving not even a token force to help keep order.

As Iraq spins out of control will Iran step in to prevent their religious enemy al-Qaeda from taking over?

The fall of Mosul, Iraq's second biggest city, is a blow to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's attempts to defeat the militants, who have seized territory in Iraq over the past year following the withdrawal of U.S. forces.
Will Iran march in to rescue Iraq from al-Qaeda?

About 500,000 Iraqis have fled Mosul, home to 2 million people, and the surrounding province, many seeking safety in the autonomous Kurdistan region reports Reuters.

Having also taken two small towns north of Baghdad, Dhiluiya and Yathrib, the insurgents are in control of between 10 and 15 pct of Iraqi territory, excluding Kurdistan, and have led many Iraqis to fear they have the capital, Baghdad, in their sights.

Security sources said ISIL militants on Wednesday drove more than 60 vehicles into Tikrit, the home town of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, which lies about 100 miles (160 km) north of Baghdad.

The militants occupied the provincial government headquarters and raised the black flag of ISIL.

"Our forces were caught by surprise, they never expected ISIL would use police and army Humvee vehicles, we mistook them for government forces and it was too late to stop them," said a police captain who fled from Tikrit to Samarra.

"We are fighting devils and not ordinary people".
